Over on the Tumblr, there has been a bit of a jam session project going on. That is to re-draw AKIRA featuring the cast of the Simpsons. It was fun to do. I drew the pages at the size of the books, done in mainly brush and ink.

The coloring process is what I really liked doing. I took old Jack Kirby comics, and took small pieces of the color in those books, and cloned the patterns as the color. On some, I changed the hue or the saturation. I like the texture it ends up giving.
